In a short paragraph within my bio, I mentioned my close connection with nature in my early childhood. Once I entered primary school, my thirst for learning new things made my early experiences fade. My views became more pragmatic, materialistic and rigid. As the years passed by, I learned to marvel at the beauty of nature again.
Much later, my yoga and meditation practices opened the door of the invisible, mysterious world, albeit very slowly. Reading the books about different spiritual traditions further widened my horizon.
In 2012, just after my divorce was completed, I received an invitation to register for the workshop Celebrate Your Life in Chicago IL, on the weekend of my birthday. I found that an auspicious call, and I felt ready to celebrate. At that time two of my daughters were living and working in the city. I planned my trip as a family visit and a short spiritual retreat.
My girls were not excited about me spending the whole weekend at the hotel. However, the workshop was close to a spiritual awakening for me.
The sessions were simultaneous and I had to pick up which ones to attend. Among presenters were Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. Alberto Villoldo, whose work I was not familiar with. Soon after the event I started to read their books, listen to their recordings, and follow their workshops.
After taking part in the expedition Via Illuminata led by Alberto and the Four Winds Society with the Q’ero shamans in Peru, I wanted to do a full medicine wheel training. However, I was still hesitant to say YES to Spirit.
I returned to my home city and decided to continue training with local teachers of indigenous wisdom. I met Diane Oliver who introduced me to stories, journeys and values of her native culture. I also did some foundational work with Glenn Campbell and the Foundation of Shamanic Studies.
But my heart was beating to the sound of the Four Winds…
Eventually, the pandemics brought me the opportunity to fully engage in their online certification course which was an extraordinary experience. Since then I never stopped learning more…
Reiki was my entry into the world of energy healing. I was first inspired to learn it by my naturopathic doctor Ellen Simone. I completed master level training in both Usui and Karuna Reiki under the guidance of my teacher Kelly Sabara.
Many other practitioners influenced me on my learning path, especially Dr. John Ryan (Unity Field Healing) with whom I completed the Unity Field Healing training.
I am immensely grateful to them all.
